Been here twice in the past couple of weeks. Went with the extended family, who the restaurant knows well, the first time and had excellent food and service. Went a second time without the extended family and service wasn't as great and the seaweed fried fish was a bit more oily. We will definitely go back though as the food reminds us of good Chinese restaurants in Monterey Park and Arcadia.
PROS:
Great food generally served fast
Prices are affordable especially for quality of food and location
They have the hard fo find Shanghainese seaweed fried fish (sorry don't know they Chinese name) -quite good!
They give ice water in sealed boba cups- which is odd and cool at the same time
CONS
Most of the staff doesn't speak English well so good to go with someone who speaks mandarin or at least be familiar with the food to know what to get
Parking in that place sucks- I recommend parking behind 99 ranch otherwise you may be circling for awhile, unless you are going during off hours
It is a small establishment, so if it is prime time or just plain busy, you may have to wait for a bit. -

Food is good, service is ok.
We came there in the late evening, few people there, which is good.
We order five dishes including Xiao Long Bao and roast beef roll. They served us rice without checking with us, we all thought the rice is free because we ordered enough entrees.
When we checked the bill, they only provide a total price with no details. After asking for details, we still only got a handwritten one, I really don't understand their calculation, the total is obviously more than our order. When we checked with the lady who provided this tricky bill, her explanation is that they forgot to charge us $4 for rice, the "Tx" in the bill should supposedly be the rice rather than the tax. (bill attached with my review)
Be careful of this restaurant. They will try to scam you. -

Awesome Taiwanese restaurant! It is located in a plaza 2nd to the left in the "left" row of restaurants but it isn't too hard to find. Parking is pretty easy since they share a huge parking lot with other stores in the plaza. Might need to walk a bit during busy hours.
We came to this restaurant because someone recommended it and we do not regret coming!
We ordered the Pan fried pork buns, Crystal pork shrank, Mixed vegetables, and Yam w pumpkin. They are absolutely delicious. The "mountain yam" is cooked to perfection with tons of nutrient value. has a tinge of sour and salt and it is absolutely The pork shrank is beyond amazing; slightly sweet with tinge of salt, just like back home in Taiwan. If you like pork these are must-orders. The vegetables are fresh and tasty. Customer service is fabulous, very friendly and attentive. Even gave us some green tea on the house bc we are Taiwanese and first-timers!
Will definitely come back for future meals. Bravo hometown restaurant! Keep up the good work! -

Cannot stress enough how AWESOME this place is!
You know family style is always the way to go so I went with the tofu w/ vegetable soup, fish with soft tofu, scallion pancake, spinach with garlic and Shanghai style fried noodles. Great combo if you're trying to stay on the "lighter side" with a hint of noodle indulgence.
The waitress is so cute and sweet! After our meal she gave us their signature tasty iced green tea as a farewell treat.
Undeniably one of the better Chinese/Taiwanese restaurants I've been to. -

I wonder if they changed the owner or not. I went here for lunch today. They have enough waiters, but they are very very very slow. They took the wrong order, and they also missed my order. I orderEd three dishes and they only served me two. They didn't know even when I ask they to give me the check. I wanted to check the check first, I thought they might didn't write it down at all. But on the check, it shows I ordered 3 dishes. They didn't check at all, and I have to ask they remove the order. This was one of my favorite restaurants. I guess now I have to remove it from my list too. :(
